Rooted on your Mac

A connection
you can understand.

Pommier runs on your Mac and uses the access you grant in macOS. You choose the AI client you connect.

Read the privacy & permissions guide
A word about your data

When an AI client requests information, Pommier returns it to that client. A cloud AI provider may process that content under its own privacy policy. Local access does not mean the AI itself runs locally.

01

Permissions you can revisit

A guided checklist helps you grant the macOS permissions each app needs. Review or revoke access in System Settings.

02

A record of what happened

Request History shows tool calls, their results and where they came from. Review and export receipts on your Mac.

03

Remote access is optional

Connect locally, or set up a separate remote connection with Tailscale and OAuth. Your Mac stays in the loop.

A little setup. Then you’re connected.

At home in your menu bar.

Pommier is the bridge between your Apple apps and an AI client that supports MCP.

1

Open Pommier

Run the native Mac app. It stays in your menu bar, ready when you need it.

2

Set up permissions

Follow the app’s checklist to grant the access your Apple apps need.

3

Connect your AI

Add Pommier’s address to a compatible MCP client, then start a conversation.

On this Mac

Keep the connection local.

Use a client that supports Streamable HTTP MCP. Copy Pommier’s local address into its connection settings.

http://127.0.0.1:8765/mcp

Available while Pommier is running. The local address is accessible to processes on your Mac; it is not an internet address.

From a cloud AI

Your Mac, within reach.

Optional remote setup uses your Tailscale tailnet and an OAuth-protected connection for registered clients.

Your Mac must stay awake and online.Setup requires a compatible cloud client, a Tailscale account, and tailnet configuration.

Use Pommier’s Remote Access setup. Never publish or forward the local address above.

A few good questions

Before you
branch out.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is a way for AI clients to use tools and request information from other apps. Pommier provides those tools for six Apple apps through one connection.

Which AI tools can I use?

For a local connection, your client needs Streamable HTTP MCP support and a way to add a custom server. Cloud clients also need compatible OAuth support and Pommier’s remote setup. Availability depends on the client, your plan and any workspace policies.

Does everything stay on my Mac?

Pommier accesses your Apple apps on your Mac and stores its request history locally. Information requested by a connected AI client is sent to that client. If you use a cloud AI, that provider may process it. Choose your client with that in mind.

Can Pommier change things in my apps?

Yes. Some tools create or update content, and some can send messages or delete items. Pommier does not add an approval prompt to every operation; your AI client’s behavior matters. Email sending is off by default, with a separate setting for remote clients. Review your permissions and use a client you trust.

Does it work when my Mac is asleep?

No. Your Mac must be awake with Pommier running. Remote connections also need the Mac to be online.

When can I download it?

Public downloads are coming soon. We’ll add the download, supported Mac requirements and installation details here when Pommier is ready for its public launch.
